Panasonic GF1 Micro Four Thirds camera leaked

Following in the footsteps of the G1 and the GH1, it appears Panasonic could be hiding away a third addition to its Micro Four Thirds range of cameras in the shape of the rather retro-inspired GF1.

Spied in some pictures apparently leaked from an internal Panasonic PDF, the GF1 has a squarer body to Panny’s previous Micro Four Thirds cams, and looks vaguely similar to Olympus’ recently-released E-P1.Looking at the specs we know about, it seems the GF1 boasts 12.1 megapixels, a 3-inch screen, AVCHD Lite 720p video and the clincher on its Olympus rival is the inclusion of a pop-up flash.

As well as that, the camera was snapped with a couple of lenses as well, namely a 20mm F1.7 and a larger 45mm F2.8.

Of course, until Panasonic hit us with a confirmation or a press release, you can take this info with a pinch of salt – although it does look pretty legit to us.
