NAUGHTY SEGA ADS

It’s hard to imagine a company like Nintendo, Playstation, or XBox resorting to an ad campaign that’s downright dirty, but Sega did it in these British print ads back in the early 90’s.

Funny Gmail Error Messages: Google can’t always win

gmail logoWhen you are searching for something or logging into your account error messages like ‘session time out’ or ‘unable to reach destination’ are quiet common. But Gmail displays you some interesting, funny and unique error messages such as:

Dear valued user,

You have reached the error page for the error page…

You win!!

gmail_error page

The ‘You win’ line could help frustrate users to calm down as they have reached an unreachable error page and therefore regarded as the ultimate winners by the Google team :) .

Gmail’s meta-error page displays an effective and simple message:

‘Google can’t always win’.

So, you cannot blame Google as anything wrong could happened with anyone on this earth:). According to Google System this message sounds like the one from Google Reader:

“Oops! That wasn’t supposed to happen”.

Sometimes, Gmail neither display an error message nor an error page but a neat and clean blank page appears on your browser that lets you think for a while what actually is happening at the back end.

Mother helps Alexa Longueira display injuries she suffered when she fell into unattended manhole on Victory Boulevard in Travis.

A Travis teen trying to walk and text-message at the same time fell into an open sewer manhole — and red-faced city officials are now investigating why the manhole was left uncovered and untended.

Alexa Longueira, 15, was walking on Victory Boulevard with a friend at about 5 p.m. yesterday, preparing to send a text, when she felt the ground give way.

“She literally just handed me the phone and I opened it [and] I felt this big drop,” the Susan E. Wagner High School sophomore said.

“It was four or five feet, it was very painful. I kind of crawled out and the DEP guys came running and helped me. … They were just, like, ‘I’m sorry! I’m sorry!’”

Alexa suffered scrapes on her arms and back as she slid into the sewer, which had some muck at the bottom. Her mother, Kim Longueira, said workers told her they left the open manhole unattended for only a second as they went to fetch some cones from the truck, and the agency said it has launched a full investigation into what happened.
